Street Food Vendors
Looking for the perfect pitch?
Are you an established street food trader looking for an extra location to sell your cuisine? Would you like to work with a like-minded independent business? If so, please read on!
Work with us!
Established in 2017, Wetherby Brew Co is based just a few minutes walk from the centre of the historic market town that gives us our name. Our busy brewery taproom is open every weekend and has a loyal and affluent customer base with a healthy appetite for great-tasting world cuisine!
Who we're looking to work with
Let’s start by saying we’re not talking canned hotdogs or economy burgers here. We’re looking for high quality street food that’s freshly prepared to order. You’ll have excellent hygiene standards (and an official hygiene rating). Ideally, you’ll be using seasonal ingredients (even better if they’re sourced from Yorkshire farms or suppliers!). Meat dishes are great, Vegetarian is good and Vegan is popular too! So long as you’re as passionate about making great food as we are about brewing great beer, then we’ll be a great match for each other!
Our offer to you
- Prominent position in our courtyard
- Venue exclusivity (no other vendors)
- Guaranteed calendar date(s)
- Promotion on our social media
- Promotion in our taproom (digital signage)
- Affordable pitch fee (£20 + VAT per day)
- No sales commission
- Overnight secure storage
- Reliable 16 amp electricity hook-up

What we ask from you
- You will need a truck/trailer/van/pop-up gazebo that's fully geared up for catering outdoors in all weather conditions
- You will need to be registered as a food business with your local Council
- You will have a valid food hygiene rating of 3 stars or above (or you have applied for a rating and are currently awaiting an inspection)
- You have a valid public liability insurance policy
- You have identified and clearly stated any allergens on your menu and signage and your staff have been trained on allergens
- You feed our taproom bar staff each day you trade with us (a maximum of 4 main portions). Our staff will then be able to recommend your food to all of our customers
- You arrive/leave/trade with us at the pre-agreed times
- You separate food waste as per the new new food waste recycling legislation (effective March 2025)
- You love beer! (no, not really... you don't even need to drink beer, but if you do enjoy beer, then consider this a bonus)
A long-term relationship
We like to work in partnership and many of our vendors have been trading with us for over 5 years. Whilst we’ll gladly accommodate you for a one-off visit, we’re also happy to discuss working with you on a more regular basis.

We ask you to be ready to serve from 4 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 1 pm on Saturdays. We ask you to continue serving until 8 pm or you sell out (whichever comes first). Wetherby is an affluent area with an appetite for all types of world cuisine. Our regular customers have told us they like to visit us because our street food vendors usually offer something that’s not available elsewhere in the town.
We’ve welcomed a number of different offerings over the past few years including American, Asian, Caribbean, Italian, Mexican and South African… and a wide variety of dishes from burgers, wraps and pizzas to falafel and sushi! We try to mix up our offering so that our regular customers have something different every week.
Yes. We have seating both indoors and outdoors. We also have a sheltered outdoor area.
This will depend on both the time of year and the type/quality of your food offering. During the summer and on bank holidays you can expect around 60 – 80 covers per day (some vendors have sold up to 120 covers). In the colder months, you can expect to sell 30 – 40 covers per day. Regular vendors have informed us that their figures are constantly growing as our taproom becomes more popular.
Yes. We’d be happy for you to spend the weekend with us… providing we don’t have any other vendors pre-booked for the dates you have in mind.
Yes. So long as we’re the right venue for you (and vice versa) then we’d be happy to have you join us several times a year (we already have a number of vendors who do this). We would generally ask for a gap of a few weeks between each visit so that we can offer our customers a different cuisine every week.
Possibly. If you’ve had a cancellation (and we don’t have a prior booking with another vendor) we’d be very happy to accommodate you.
Yes. At least one team member will be on-site prior to the taproom opening. Please let us know if you have any special requirements.
Yes. If you’re trading with us over several days you can leave your equipment on our premises overnight. You are welcome to store catering equipment inside the taproom. If leaving a gazebo/trailer etc, our courtyard is locked every evening and protected by CCTV. We cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged items (whether left indoors or outdoors) so please ensure you have a valid insurance policy in place.
Yes. We have recently upgraded our electrical system and (unlike many other venues) we can offer you a choice of a blue 16 amp hook-up or conventional 3 pin 240v domestic electricity sockets. You will need to bring and supply your own extension cables and these must be fit for purpose and correctly rated for their intended usage. If you have any enquiries regarding our supply, please contact us to discuss your requirements (we will endeavour to accommodate you wherever possible).
We ask you to serve your food directly from your truck/van/gazebo to the customer. We’re happy for you to use table pagers where required. Whilst we’re unable to assist with table service we will be happy to clear away boxes/wrappers and disposable cutlery etc.
