Street Food Vendors
Looking for the perfect pitch?
Work with us!
Are you an established street food trader looking for an extra location to sell your cuisine? Would you like to work with a like-minded independent business? If so, please read on!
Established in 2017, Wetherby Brew Co is based just a few minutes walk from the centre of the historic market town that gives us our name. Our busy brewery taproom is open every weekend and has a loyal and affluent customer base with a healthy appetite for great-tasting world cuisine!
Who we're looking FOR
We’re looking for high-quality street food that’s freshly prepared to order. Ideally, you’ll use only the freshest seasonal ingredients (we’ll give you extra brownie points if they’re sourced from Yorkshire farms or suppliers!). You’ll also have excellent hygiene standards (and an official hygiene rating).
Meat dishes are great, Vegetarian is good and Vegan is popular too! So long as you’re as passionate about making great food as we are about brewing great beer, then we’ll be a great match for each other!
A long-term relationship
We like to work in partnership (many of our vendors have been trading with us for over 5 years). Whilst we’ll gladly accommodate you for a one-off visit, we’re also happy to discuss working with you on a regular basis.

Frequently asked questions
Where are you located?
We’re just 2 mins off the A1 and easily accessible from Leeds, Harrogate, York and further afield. You’ll find us located on the York Road Estate (close to the Engine Shed venue). For a map and directions, please visit our find us page.
When is your taproom open?
Our taproom is open every weekend (Thursday – Saturday)… please see the taproom page for up-to-date opening hours.
What are your street food vending times?
We will agree your trading times with you in advance. We will promote these heavily on our social media channels so (to avoid disappointing customers) we ask you to be operational during the advertised/agreed times. We will normally ask you to serve the following hours:
Thu: 4 – 8 pm
Fri: 4 – 8 pm
Sat: 1 – 8 pm
What times are you usually busiest?
Our busiest periods for street food are usually:
Fri: 5.30 – 7.30 pm
Sat: 4.00 – 7.00 pm
Bank holiday weekends also tend to be busy.
What type of food is popular in Wetherby?
Wetherby is an affluent area with an appetite for ALL types of cuisine. Our regular customers have told us they like to visit us because our street food vendors usually offer something unavailable elsewhere in the town. Anything unique or unusual is usually very well received.
What kind of vendors have you had in the past?
We’ve had all types of cuisine in the past, from burgers and pizzas to Italian, Mexican, Thai, Peruvian-Greek, and Japanese! We offer something different every week, which helps maintain customer loyalty and footfall, increasing our vendor sales!
How many covers can I expect to sell?
This will vary depending on your food offering, the time of year, and weather conditions. During the summer and on bank holidays you can expect around 60 – 80 covers per day (some vendors have sold up to 120 covers). In the colder months, you can expect to sell 30 – 40 covers per day. Regular vendors have informed us that their figures are constantly growing as our taproom becomes more popular.
Jan – Mar: 30 – 40 covers per day
Apr – Sep: 40 – 70 covers per day
Oct – Dec: 30 – 40 covers per day
Do you have seating?
Yes. We have seating both indoors and outdoors. We also have a sheltered outdoor area.
Who serves the food?
We ask you to serve your food directly from your truck/van/gazebo to the customer. We’re happy for you to use table pagers where required. Whilst we’re unable to assist with table service we will be happy to clear away boxes/wrappers and disposable cutlery etc.
Can I set up my equipment in advance?
Yes. At least one team member will be on-site prior to the taproom opening. Please let us know if you have any special requirements.
Can I leave my equipment overnight?
Yes. If you’re trading with us over several days you can leave your equipment on our premises overnight. You are welcome to store catering equipment inside the taproom. If leaving a gazebo/trailer etc, our courtyard is locked every evening and protected by CCTV. We cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged items (whether left indoors or outdoors) so please ensure you have a valid insurance policy in place.
Can I plug into your electricity sockets?
Yes. We have recently upgraded our electrical system and (unlike many other venues) we can offer you a choice of a blue 16 amp hook-up or conventional 3 pin 240v domestic electricity sockets. You will need to bring and supply your own extension cables and these must be fit for purpose and correctly rated for their intended usage. If you have any enquiries regarding our supply, please contact us to discuss your requirements (we will endeavour to accommodate you wherever possible).
How do I book in a date with you?
Please read the terms and conditions on the next page and then complete our vendor application form. A member of our team will then get in touch with you to discuss possible trading dates.
How far ahead do I need to book?
We tend to book at least six months in advance so the more notice you can give us the better.
Can I trade with you all weekend?
Yes. We’d be happy for you to spend the weekend with us… providing we don’t have any other vendors pre-booked for the dates you have in mind.
Can I pre-book multiple dates with you?
Yes. So long as we’re the right venue for you (and vice versa) then we’d be happy to have you join us several times a year (we already have several vendors who do this). We would generally leave a gap of a few weeks between each visit so that our customer offering varies every week.
Can you accommodate me at short notice?
We can generally only accommodate bookings made several months in advance. If we’ve had a cancellation, we may be able to accommodate you at short notice.
