Terms and conditions

FOR Street food vendors

Effective 1 March 2025

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for trading with us (or expressing an interest in trading with us). We’d like to advise you of some changes to our taproom street food vendor agreement. We’ve updated our agreement for a number of reasons:

1. To ensure clarity for both parties.

2. To allow for changes in legislation.

3. As part of our due diligence (and to maintain our 5-star hygiene rating).

4. To allow for an increase in our overheads.

5. We our planning to grow our taproom business.

If you’d like to trade with us in the future, you will need to read and accept the following terms and conditions and supply the information requested in the supplier agreement form (this should only take a couple of minutes to complete).

FOOD SERVING TIMES

We ask vendors to trade with us on both a Friday and Saturday where possible (Thursdays are optional). Unless otherwise agreed, we expect you to be fully set up and ready to trade during the following hours:

Thursdays: 4 – 8 pm

Fridays: 4 – 8 pm

Saturdays: 1 – 8 pm

We will confirm your trading hours in advance. We publish these on our social media channels so (to avoid customer disappointment) we ask that you are in situ at the advertised times.

We often extend our opening hours during bank holidays and over the festive period so additional trading days may also become available. We also host private events which may present additional opportunities for you to trade with us. Please let us know this is something you might be interested in.

PITCH

LOCATION

The pitch is located outdoors on a level concrete base (next to the wooden gazebo and large roller shutter door). It offers easy access to our electricity hook-up.

SIZE

The pitch is approximately 4 m x 10 m and can easily accommodate large gazebos or trailers.

PITCH ACCESS

You will have access to the pitch one hour before the agreed serving times. This should allow plenty of time to set up (if you need longer than this, please let us know in advance).

PITCH FEES

A fixed pitch fee will be required from all traders. The fee is £20 +VAT per day of trading and includes the pitch, electricity, water and waste disposal/recycling, the use of our kitchen (for washing up) and complimentary soft drinks for your staff.

Invoicing

We will invoice you for the fee approximately 5-7 days in advance and this should paid by BACS. If you trade with us for several days, we will issue you with a single invoice that covers your trading period (e.g. 3 days @ £20 = an invoice for £60 + VAT). All invoices are to be settled on receipt.

Commission

Unless otherwise agreed, we do not seek any commission on your sales.

Drinks

DRINKS FOR YOUR STAFF

We offer all vendors unlimited complimentary hot and cold drinks including; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cordial (the very same we offer to our own team). Going forward, any alcoholic drinks (or bottled soft drinks) will need to be paid for. We are happy to open a tab on the till for you should you wish to purchase any drinks.

SALE OF DRINKS TO CUSTOMERS

Our taproom is one of our main income streams and we depend on it to run a successful business. We stock a wide range of drinks (including kids’ drinks). You must not sell drinks (hot or cold) from your pitch (unless otherwise agreed in advance).

FOOD FOR THE BREW CO TEAM

Our team will often recommend your food to our customers which will help to benefit your sales. We will continue to ask you to feed our team members 1 main meal per shift. Typically this will be a maximum of 4 meals per day.

Food for brewing experience guests

We need to set a food budget for each guest (this is currently £4 for a cold buffet). We would prefer to offer our guests some of your delicious street at £6.

PACKAGING

You will have access to the pitch one hour before the serving times listed above. This should allow plenty of time to set up. If you need longer than this, please let us know.

Food safety

Food hygiene rating

Food hygeine rating

We require all vendors to have an official food hygiene rating from their local authority. If you are a new business and do not currently have a rating, you will need to have applied for one (and are currently awaiting an inspection).

Allergens

In accordance with food trading standards all allergens should be clearly listed in your menus. Your staff must also be trained on any allergens that your food may contain.

UTILITIES

Electricity

We have recently invested heavily in improving our electricity supply to our vendors. We now have a highly reliable power supply with a wide variety of connectors. This has its own circuit breaker and is isolated from the rest of the venue. If you have any questions regarding the power supply, please let us know.

Gas

“All gas equipment which is used for catering purposes must be installed, inspected and tested annually by a gas safe engineer.”

WATER

There will be no charge for the supply or disposal of water (this is included in your pitch fee).

RECYCLEABLE waste

Your pitch fee includes the use of our recycling bins.

NON- RECYCLEABLE waste

Non recyclable waste is to be bagged up in placed in the bins.

Food waste

New regulations come into effect in March 2025 (or March 2027 for workplaces with less than 10 employees). We ask that all food waste is separated from packaging. Where possible, please use packaging that can be easily separated and recycled.
