Draught Beers
With six hand-pulled beers served from the cask, and five chilled keg beers, our taproom bar has one of the best draught beer offerings in Wetherby! All draught beers are sold by the pint and in 1/3 and 1/2 pint measures.
Guest Beers
Whether you’re looking to sample the UK’s only Trappist beer, a German Helles Pilsner or a Belgian triple, we’ve got you covered! Our guest fridges have a wide range of guest bottles and cans from both UK and continental brewers. We also rotate our guest beers on a regular basis, so there’s always something new and exciting to try.
Cider
We serve two quality still (non-sparkling) ciders on draught (usually 1 medium-sweet and one medium-dry) and we rotate these regularly. We also stock a wide range of guest bottled ciders, including award-winning ciders from Gwynt y Ddraig in Wales and fruit ciders from old Mout.
Spirits
We stock a range of gins and vodkas from a number of independent local distillers including Cooper King, York Gin, and Priory vodka. All of our spirits are available in single (25 ml) and double (50ml) measures together with a selection of quality mixers from Fever-Tree.
Wine
We serve quality wine by the glass (125 ml, 175 ml and 250 ml) and also by the bottle (750 ml). With three white, three red, a rose and a sparkling (Prosecco) to choose from, there’s something to suit most tastes.
Low alcohol beers
Whether you’re a ‘designated driver’, or you are simply looking to limit your alcohol intake, we stock some fantastic alcohol free/low alcohol beers. We also offer a range of gluten free beers. Please ask one of the team to point you in the right direction.
TastERS + TAKE-HOME
Complimentary tasters are available on request. Our ‘Platform Three’ (three x 1/3 pints on a wooden flight) is also a popular option. All our draught beers are available to take home in 2-litre containers (approx 3.5 pints). Customer Growlers (beer containers) can also be filled upon request.
Soft drinks
We stock a wide range of still and sparkling soft drinks. We have fresh juices from Frobishers, a wide range of Fentimans sparking drinks, Coca-Cola, 7UP and Appletiser. Complimentary drinking water is always available.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Often described as a ‘hidden gem’, our taproom first opened to the public in 2017 and has since become a hit with both locals and people travelling from further afield. When we designed the taproom, we simply wanted to create the kind of place we would could enjoy a beer ourselves. This started with a list of things we considered essential, including; great beer, nice snacks, a warm welcome, and a cosy wood burner.
What you'll find
Our taproom is located within our brewery in a small industrial unit a short walk from Wetherby town centre. It’ a no-nonsense venue with a good-sized bar and plenty of seating. Upon arrival you’ll be assured a warm welcome by our friendly knowledgeable staff. You’ll be guided through the beers we have available and given the opportunity to sample complimentary tasters.
What you won't find
If you’re looking for big screen sports, fruit machines, pool tables, juke boxes and flashing lights then sorry, we’re not the place for you! You won’t find any cocktails or brightly coloured alco-pops either… just good conversation and great beer.
DOGS WELCOME
We welcome all well-behaved dogs (and responsible owners) at the taproom and complimentary dog treats and a drinking water bowl are always available. If you’re thinking of bringing you best friend along, please read our pooch policy (below) for more information.
If you’re not a dog lover, don’t worry… you’ll be pleased to know that we also have a dog-free seating area (upstairs).
Dogs are welcome downstairs and outdoors in the courtyard. |
Dogs are not permitted upstairs or at the bar. |
Dogs must be kept supervised and on a short lead at all times. |
Please keep entrances, walkways and fire exits clear at all times. |
Please keep your dog(s) off the furniture. |
If your dog is sensitive, please be aware that there may be loud and/or unexpected noises from the brewery. |
Please keep your hound hydrated (a water bowl is located by the entrance door). |
Please be respectful of other customers (they may have allergies or be afraid dogs). |
Help yourself to free doggy treats! |
PHOTO Competition
Did you know that your pup could win you a free beer (yes really!). Enter our ‘pup of the month’ competition, and there’s a free pint of beer (or soft drink) for the lucky winner, plus a complimentary treat for their pup! Entry is free and takes less than a minute!
Simply snap a quick photo of your four-legged friend whilst in our taproom and post it to your favourite social media channel(s) using the hashtag #wetherbybrewpups (for extra kudos, please give @wetherbybrewco a mention too).
We will pick a lucky winner at the end of each month, and the winning photo will feature as ‘pup of the month’ the following month.
Your pup’s photo will be shared across all of our social media channels.
Your pup’s photo will be proudly displayed on our taproom screens.

Brownies & Bakes
We love a freshly-baked brownie… especially one lovingly hand-prepared in small batches!
Local bakers ‘Brown and Blond’ create some truly amazing brownies and deliver a fresh batch to us every week. They have a huge selecton available and are forever coming up with new recipes. We usually stock 3-4 flavours and rotate these every week, so there’s always something different to try!

It’s absolutely great to work with another local independent business… one that (like us) puts the quality of their products above anything else. We first met George of ‘Brown and Blond’ a few years ago when we had a neighbouring stall at a local Christmas market. The delicious aromas coming from his stall were absolutely irresistible and naturally, we succumbed and simply had to buy some!
We enjoyed George’s brownies so much that it was only a matter of time before we decided to stock them in our taproom. Thankfully, our customers agree with us, and the rest is history! Unsurprisingly our brownies sell out every weekend… but don’t worry, we’ll soon be getting a fresh batch in!

A brief history
Did you know that Wetherby used to have a railway station? In fact, Wetherby has had two railway stations over the years!
The town’s first station was originally located a hundred metres or so away from the brewery taproom. Whilst the station closed in the 1960’s (and was subsequently demolished) the former goods shed which stood opposite remains and is now a popular function venue known as ‘The Engine Shed’.
Date opened: | 10th August 1847 |
Company on opening: | York & North Midland |
Date closed: | 1st July 1902 |
Date line closed: | 4th April 1966 |
Company on closing: | North Eastern Railway |
THE BEER STATION
When we opened our taproom in 2017, we wanted to choose a name that both gave a nod to the site’s history whilst also looking forward to the future.
We also wanted to give our customers the opportunity to try lots of different beers (taking something of a journey of discovery).
The name ‘Beer Station’ was born.
We are members of the Leeds Pubwatch group and will not tolerate anti-social behaviour.
