General information
We’re a short walk from Wetherby town centre and just a five-minute drive from the A1 (junctions 45 and 46). Wetherby lies halfway between London and Edinburgh, close to the Yorkshire Dales, and is easily accessible from York, Leeds, and Harrogate. Please visit the “Find Us” page for a map and directions.

Yes. Well-behaved children are welcome in the taproom until 7.30 pm. We respectfully ask that children are seated and supervised at all times and that prams and pushchairs are not left where they may cause an obstruction. A baby changing facility is available within our accessible toilet.
Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome downstairs and outdoors in our courtyard area. Complimentary dog treats and a water bowl are provided. Please note that dogs are not permitted at the bar, upstairs, or in our brewing experience area.
Drinks
We usually offer six of our own cask beers, all brewed on the premises. We also occasionally feature guest cask beers. In addition, we serve six keg beers, along with a wide selection of guest bottles and cans.
Yes. All of our beers contain malted barley and may also include wheat, oats, and other cereals that contain gluten. Unless otherwise stated, we use only the following natural ingredients: water, barley, wheat, hops, and yeast.
Yes. We don’t brew low-alcohol beers ourselves, but we do have a guest low-alcohol beer on draught plus a dedicated no/low-alcohol section in our guest beer fridge.
Yes. All our beers are vegan-friendly (unless otherwise stated).
Yes. Although we don’t brew these ourselves, we have a dedicated gluten-free section in our guest beer fridge. We also regularly offer gluten-free guest beers on draught.
Yes. We usually have 1-2 guest lagers on draught.
Yes. We usually have 1 cider on draught plus a good selection of bottled guest ciders.
Yes. We offer a quality selection of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Blush, Malbec, Merlot, Shiraz and Prosecco. These are all sold by the glass and the bottle.
Yes. We sell Gin, Vodka, Whisky and Rum – mainly from local independent distilleries such as Priory Vodka (Wetherby) and York Gin.
Yes. We have a wide range of bottled soft drinks, and we also offer teas, coffees and hot chocolate.
Food
Yes. We stock a wide range of snacks – from chorizo crisps and dry roasted nuts to beef jerky and Polish sausage. We’ve got your snacking cravings covered!
We don’t have a dedicated kitchen and therefore don’t serve our own food. Instead, we host a different street food vendor every weekend.
We have a different street food vendor join us every weekend. Please see the “Street Food Vendor Calendar” page for a list of up-and-coming vendors.
Most of our street food vendors offer a vegan-friendly and/or vegetarian-friendly menu. This will vary from week to week. Please check our social media channels for the menu, or “Contact Us” for more information.

Yes. We have a food hygiene rating of ‘5’ from Leeds City Council.
Booking
Sorry, but we are unable to offer table reservations. Our taproom tables and seating are available on a first-come-first-served basis. As an alternative, you might want to consider hiring our mezzanine area (subject to minimum numbers). Please see our venue hire page or “Contact Us” for more info.

Events
Yes. We host several activities throughout the year, from live music to a Christmas fair. Please visit our “Events” page for a list of upcoming activities.
Yes. We screen major sports shown on terrestrial TV (BBC and ITV). We do not screen Sky Sports.
Facilities
Yes. Our courtyard has picnic bench seating and is pleasant place to enjoy a drink in warmer weather. There is also a large wooden gazebo offering shelter.
Yes. We have a good selection of board games suitable for both kids and adults. We also have a book exchange where you are welcome to borrow a book or take one and replace it with another.
Yes. This is located within our accessible toilet.
Yes. We have 2 high chairs available for guest use.
We have dedicated urinals for males and separate cubicles for ladies. We also have a third cubicle, which everyone can use. Our hand-wash sinks are communal and available to all guests.
Parking
Yes. We have limited on-site parking. In the event our car park is full, you can park in the Engine Shed car park next door (both car parks are free). There is also additional on-road parking on York Road.
Yes, but only by prior arrangement. Both the York Road Estate barrier and our courtyard gate are locked overnight, which means your vehicle may be locked in. If you would like to park overnight, we will need to agree on a collection time to ensure you have access. While we have good security, all vehicles are left at the owner’s risk. Please “Contact Us” if you would like to arrange overnight parking or need further information.
We’re unable to offer overnight parking for campervans and motorhomes; however, we’re happy to recommend an excellent local site with hook-ups. Glenfield Caravan Park is located just a 10-minute drive away in the nearby village of Bardsey, which is also home to one of the oldest pubs in England.

Legal
We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ ID policy. If you appear to be under the age of 25, you will be asked for proof of your age. We accept the following types of ID:
- UK or international passports (unexpired)
- UK/EU driving/provisional licences (unexpired)
- Proof of age cards with a PASS logo (e.g. CitizenCard/Young Scot)
- EU national identity card (unexpired)
Smoking and vaping are permitted outdoors only. Ashtrays are available on request. We kindly ask smokers and vapers to be considerate of other guests.
Yes. We are a member of Wetherby Pubwatch. If you have been banned from any other licensed premises (either locally or nationally) you are automatically banned from our taproom.
Payment
Yes. We accept all major credit and debit cards and also contactless payment by Apple Pay and Google Pay. To minimise the number of transactions required, we will be happy to set up a discretionary bar tab on request.
Yes. We are happy to accept American Express cards.
Yes (however, we prefer to take card payments wherever possible).
We brew on a very small scale, and our labour and production costs are significantly higher than those of larger breweries. As a result, we are unfortunately unable to offer discounts
