Street Food Vendors Wanted!

Looking for the perfect pitch?

Are you an established street food trader looking for extra locations to sell your delicious dishes? Would you like to work with a like-minded independent family owned microbrewery? If so, please read on!

Come join us!

Established in 2017, Wetherby Brew Co is based just a few minutes walk from the centre of the historic market town that gives us our name. Our busy brewery taproom is open every weekend and has a loyal and affluent customer base with a healthy appetite for great tasting food!

WHo WE'RE LOOKING TO WORK WITH

Let’s start by saying we’re not talking tinned hotdogs or economy burgers here. We’re looking for high quality street food that’s freshly prepared to order. You’ll have excellent hygiene standards (and an official hygiene rating).

Ideally, you’ll be using seasonal ingredients (even better if they’re sourced from Yorkshire farms or suppliers!). Different is good. Meat dishes are great, Vegetarian is good and Vegan is popular too! So long as you’re as passionate about making great food as we are about brewing great beer, then we’ll be a great match for each other!

OUR offer TO YOU

What we ask FROM YOU

A LONG-TERM RELationship

We’ve been working in partnership with a variety of food vendors for a few years now and we’re pleased to have developed a long-term relationship with many of them. Whilst we’ll gladly accommodate you for a one-off visit, we’d also be happy to discuss working with you on a regular basis.

Frequently asked questions

We’re located on the York Road Estate, Wetherby (close to the Engine Shed). We’re just 2 mins off the A1 and easily accessible from Leeds, Harrogate and York. You’ll find a map and directions on our find us page.

Our taproom is open every weekend (Thursday – Saturday)… please see the taproom page for up to date opening hours.

We’d generally encourage you to be ready to serve as soon as our taproom opens… either until you run out of food, or until around 8 pm (whichever comes first). Our busiest period for food orders is usually between 6 and 8 pm on a Friday and 4 and 7 pm on a Saturday.

Wetherby is an affluent area with a real appetite for something different! Our regular customers have told us they like our street food vendors because they offer something that’s not available elsewhere in the town.

We’ve welcomed a number of different offerings over the past few years including American, Asian, Caribbean, Italian, Mexican and South African… and a wide variety of dishes from burgers, wraps and pizzas to falafel and sushi! We try to mix up our offering so that our regular customers have something different every week.

Yes. We have seating both indoors and outdoors. We also have a sheltered outdoor area.

This depends on many things of course (not least the quality of your food!). Other food vendors have achieved figures of 70-120 covers per day, and this figure is steadily growing as our taproom becomes more popular?

Yes. We’d be happy for you to spend the weekend with us… providing we don’t have any other vendors pre-booked for the dates you have in mind.

Yes. So long as we’re the right venue for you (and vice versa) then we’d be happy to have you join us several times a year (we already have a number of vendors who do this). We would generally ask for a gap of a few weeks between each visit so that we can offer our customers a good variety of dishes.

Yes. At least one team member will be on-site prior to the taproom opening. Please let us know if you have any special requirements.

Yes. If you’re staying with us for the weekend you can leave your equipment on our premises. You are welcome to store catering equipment inside the taproom. If leaving a gazebo/trailer etc, our courtyard is locked every evening and protected by CCTV. We cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged items (whether left indoors or outdoors) so please ensure you have a valid insurance policy in place.

Most vendors we currently work with use propane gas or charcoal as their primary fuel. We are happy to supply you with free 3 pin 240v electricity sockets for lighting, cash tills, epos terminals, laptops, phone charging etc however we cannot guarantee the availability of a power supply suitable for high amperage cooking equipment (this is due to limitations with the circuitry in our building). You will also need to bring and supply your own extension cables and these must be correctly rated for their intended usage. If you have any enquiries regarding our supply, please drop us a line to discuss your requirements (we will endeavour to accommodate you wherever possible).

Yes. If you’ve had a cancellation (and we don’t have a prior booking with another vendor) we’d be very happy to accommodate you. Please contact us to make a booking!

We’ve worked with a number of vendors to offer a pre-order service via our webshop. We put together a number of bundles for takeaway meals (e.g. 2 meals and 2 litres of beer). This proved to be very popular and we’d be happy to discuss offering both ‘eat in’ and ‘takeaway’ bundle deals with you. Please let us know if this is something you’d be interested in.

We ask you to serve your food directly from your truck/van/gazebo to the customer. We are happy for you to use table pagers where required. Whilst  we’re unable to assist with table service we will be happy to clear away boxes/wrappers and disposable cutlery etc.

SOUNDS GOOD! - WHAT NEXT?

If you like what you see, it’s very simple! Please get in touch! We’ll be happy to answer any additional questions you may have and get some dates put in the diary!

LET'S CONNECT!

Our preferred contact method is email. If you’d prefer to contact us via social media that’s OK too… just please be aware that we’re a very small team and we can’t always respond immediately… rest assured we will get back to you though!
