Street Food Vendors
Terms and conditions
NOTICE
Our street food calendar is currently fully booked until December 2025.
If you haven’t yet registered with us, we still encourage you to do so (as we often receive new requests and enquiries for private functions and events).
NEW VENDOR AGREEMENT
Effective 7 APRIL 2025
We have recently implemented a new agreement for our street food vendors. If you’d like to trade with us, please read the terms and conditions below and complete the registration form on the next page (this should only take a couple of minutes).
Why is a new agreement necessary?
The aim of the agreement is:
1. To ensure clarity for both parties.
2. To allow for changes in legislation.
3. To maintain our 5-star hygiene rating (as part of our due diligence).
4. To allow for an increase in our business overheads.
5. To accommodate the planned growth of our taproom business.
Food safety
Food hygiEne rating
We require you to hold an official food hygiene rating of 3 or above with your local authority. If you are a new business and do not yet have a rating, you must have registered with your local authority and be awaiting an inspection.
Allergens
In accordance with the Food Standards Agency regulations, all allergens should be listed on your menus and displayed on your signage. Your staff must also be trained on any allergens your food may contain. Please visit the website below for more information:
INSURANCE
Public liability insurance
You will need to have a valid public liability insurance policy in place. This should offer you cover of at least £1m.
Other policies
Your insurance policy should offer you the appropriate level of protection and should include employer’s liability, stock, business interruption, legal, and accident cover. Whilst, we haven’t experienced any incidents since opening in 2017, we cannot take any responsibility for vehicles or equipment stored on our premises.
BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS
BOOKINGS
Once you have registered with us, we will add you to our supplier list and contact you to discuss trading opportunities. All bookings will be confirmed to you in writing (either via email or a messaging app).
PITCH FEE
A fixed pitch fee will be required from all traders. The fee is £20 +VAT per day of trading and includes the pitch, electricity, water, the use of our kitchen (for washing up) and complimentary soft drinks for your staff (please see below for more information).
Invoicing
We will invoice you for the pitch fee in advance (payment should be made directly into our account by BACS). If you trade with us across several days, we will issue a single invoice that covers your trading period (e.g. 3 days @ £20 = an invoice for £60 + VAT).
Commission
Unless otherwise agreed (e.g. for special events) we do not seek any commission on your sales.
ADDITIONAL TRADING OPPORTUNITIES
We usually extend our opening hours during festive periods and bank holidays and we also take bookings for private events. This may present extra opportunities for you to trade with us. If you would like to be notified of additional trading opportunities (including cancellations) please tick the box at the end of the vendor registration form.
CANCELLATIONS
Should you wish to cancel your booking with us, you must let us know as soon as possible. If your pitch fee has been paid, we reserve the right not to refund this.
If we need to cancel your booking for any reason, we will refund any pitch fees that have been paid in full.
PITCH
YOUR SETUP
You will need a truck/trailer/van/pop-up gazebo that’s fully geared up for catering outdoors in all weather conditions.
PITCH LOCATION
The pitch is located outdoors on a level concrete base (next to a wooden gazebo and large roller shutter door). It offers convenient access to our electricity hook-up. We reserve the right to change the location of the pitch.
PITCH SIZE
The pitch is approximately 4 m x 10 m and can easily accommodate large gazebos or trailers.
PITCH ACCESS
You can access the pitch 1 hour before the agreed serving times. This should allow plenty of time to set up (if you need longer then this must be agreed in advance).
vendor SERVING TIMES
We ask vendors to trade with us on both a Friday and Saturday where possible (Thursdays are optional). Unless otherwise agreed, we expect you to be fully set up and ready to trade during the following hours:
Thursdays (optional): 4 – 8 pm
Fridays: 4 – 8 pm
Saturdays: 1 – 8 pm
We will confirm your trading hours in advance. We publish these on our social media channels so to avoid any disappointment, we ask that you be operational during the advertised times.
FOOD
FOOD FOR THE BREW CO TEAM
We ask you to feed our team members 1 main meal per shift (typically this will be a maximum of 4 meals per day of trading). If it looks like you are about to sell out of food, please ensure our staff are fed before taking further orders. Our team will recommend your food to our customers, helping to boost your sales.
Food for brewing experience guests
We host a brewing experience day once or twice a month (usually on a Saturday). If you are trading with us on a brewing experience day, we will offer you the opportunity to cater for our guests (normally 4-12 covers in total). For this, we ask for a minimum of a 40% discount on your regular menu price).
Drinks
DRINKS FOR YOUR STAFF
We offer all vendors unlimited complimentary hot and cold drinks including; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cordial (the very same we offer to our team). Any alcoholic drinks (or bottled soft drinks) need to be paid for. Should you wish to purchase anything from the bar, we are happy to set you up a tab on the till.
SALE OF DRINKS TO CUSTOMERS
Our taproom is one of our main income streams and we depend on it to run a successful business. We stock a wide range of products (including soft drinks and sweet treats). You must not sell hot or cold drinks, cakes, biscuits, brownies or confectionery from your pitch (unless otherwise agreed in advance).
UTILITIES
Electricity
We have recently invested heavily in improving our electricity supply to our vendors. We now have a highly reliable power supply with a wide variety of connectors. This has its own circuit breakers and is isolated from the rest of the venue. The supply of electricity is included in your pitch fee. If your power consumption is deemed unusually high, we reserve the right to meter your usage and charge you for this. At the time of writing (February 2025) this will be charged at 25p per kWh. If you have any questions regarding our power supply, please let us know.
Gas
All gas equipment used for catering purposes must be installed, inspected and tested annually by a gas safe engineer. This is a legal requirement and applies to ALL businesses that use LPG.
WATER
You are welcome to use our cold supply to replenish your water containers (please note that our hot water supply is limited).
INTERNET (WIFI)
We have a high-speed fibre internet connection (up to 1 GB) and you are welcome to join our guest wifi network. Simply search for the ‘Brew Co Guest’ network and follow the instructions on your screeen.
